Safaris in South Africa — Eastern Region

This safari region includes the north eastern corner of South Africa. This region is one of the top three tourist destinations in the South Africa. It is approximately 2000' ASL. On average the climate is moderate during the winter months (April to August) and very warm in summer months. It has vast open African bush, excellent lodges, parks and good infra–structure for tourists. The main attractions are:

  • Kruger National Park. One of the game viewing sites in southern Africa. with it's well known rest camps style.

  • The best concentration & selection of private lodges you can imagine in real African bush.

  • Eastern Lowveld: scenic nature, historic sites, passes, rivers, waterfalls, historical routes.

  • North east coast: (northern KwaZulu-Natal): The coastal Kosi Bay area and Zululand Game Reserves, moderate climate in winter and warm and humid in summer, excellent game and bird viewing, and really fine lodges including the St Lucia, a listed world heritage site.

  • Mozambique Coastal Resorts: Idyllic type lodges, turquoise waters, islands and game, fishing, scuba, snorkeling, stylish relaxation in the central coastal area.
