Safari One

Ultra Luxury Kruger National Park & Private Game Lodge Safari

Board the bus with your perfect travelling partner and enjoy this wonderful trip to the Mpumalanga Province along the panoramic route until we reach the Kruger National Park and enjoy the fantasy of Africa.

Depart from Johannesburg or Pretoria via the N4 to the Mpumalanga Province, with the destination being Pilgrims Rest, where the richest gold deposits were discovered in the early 1800s. We overnight and enjoy dinner in the Pilgrims Rest area before moving on to the luxury Kuname River Lodge & Private Reserve not far from the Kruger National Park.

Enjoy wildest Africa in the best luxury possible. Depart to the Kruger National Park after 2 days of pampered game viewing. On arrival at the Kruger National Park, we move to Jock's Camp (ultra luxury private camp in the Kruger National Park) where you are given the opportunity to freshen up and relax before you siesta around the pool or view animals from the deck. The romance continues at night around the fire and African stars.

On day 6 we travel back to Johannesburg or Pretoria to arrive at 16:00.

Safari Two

Victoria Falls (Zambia)

Your perfect travelling partner will collect you from your hotel or a designated departure point. We will then proceed to the airport for the flight (Nationwide) to Livingstone in Zambia, where you will transfer to the Royal Livingstone Hotel for your accommodation requirements.

Once you have settled your belongings and freshened yourself in the brand new ultra-luxury of the Royal Livingstone, all tours and excursions will be co-ordinated at the hotel — the falls, chopper flights, sun–downer cruises and so on. You will be able to view one of the seven wonders of the world first hand and be able to see the power of water cascading into the gorge.

You will be fetched by your perfect travelling partner and will be transferred to the airport for your 2 hour flight to Victoria falls in Zimbabwe.

On arrival you will be transferred to the hotel (Kingdom Safari Lodge, Elephant Hills or A' Zambezi Hotel) giving you the opportunity to freshen up and relax before we take to the town.

All tours and excursions will be co-ordinated at the hotel, the falls, chopper flights, sun-downers and cruises.

The remainder of the time will be spent by yourself to view all there is to see in Victoria Falls village; tribal dancing, the local craft market, the crocodile farm.

After breakfast you will be transferred to Chobe Game Reserve by road (2 hours) where you will be given the opportunity to spend two days in the tranquillity of the Chobe Game Lodge in the Chobe National park.

For the BEST LAND & RIVER GAMEVIEWING IN AFRICA. You will spend two days and two nights being entertained by the game in the area and viewing the splendour of the African bush.

The next morning we will return to Victoria Falls to arrive late afternoon in Johannesburg.

Safari Four

Sun City & Madikwe Private Game Reserve (North West Province)

Your perfect travelling partner will collect you from your hotel or a designated departure point. We will then proceed to the Sun City complex where you will be able to enjoy a day of relaxation in this majestic setting.

After a day of relaxation we will sleep at one of the selected complex hotels to proceed to the 7 5000 Hectare Madikwe Game Reserve after breakfast the next morning, where we will stay at one of their luxurious lodges.

Staying at one of the 2 luxury lodges, discovering the big 5 in Malaria free bushveld, you will be treated to a game drive before you settle down for a night of relaxation and tranquillity.

Before breakfast the next morning you will again be taken for a game drive in the reserve looking for the big 5 and enjoying the other game species that can be viewed. The remainder of the day will be for your relaxation and enjoyment of the area and the bushveld.

In the evening you will be treated to a traditional South African Braai in a bush setting and enjoy the night sounds of the game in the vicinity. After breakfast the next day it is time to return you to the destination from where we departed for this fantasy safari.

Safari Information

Preliminaries

  • Your safari starts when we meet you at the OR Tambo International Airport and ends when we take you back there for your return home.

Your safari price is fully inclusive of:

  • All accommodation which is private en-suite rooms for couples, except on the house boat on Lake Kariba where one cabin is not en-suite.
  • 2 full meals per day.
  • All quoted entrance fees and game drives in national parks.
  • The first and last day of a safari is combined as one day.
  • Beverages whilst travelling.
  • Tourist guide, vehicle or aircraft, fuel, toll and road taxes and airport taxes.
  • Laundry at Roy's Lodge.
  • Roy's Tours & Safaris cap & T-shirt

Your safari price is exclusive of:

  • Private purchases, fax and phone calls.
  • Additional requested excursions e.g. extra night drives, game trails or non-quoted activities.
  • Night game drives in national parks.
  • Regional fees or conservation fees. These are, however, minimal and is usually paid for by us.
  • Alcoholic beverages except for moderate wine & beverages consumption at dinner.
  • Expenses at Sun City - apart from accommodation and meals as specified.
  • Expenses at flea markets and souvenir markets or shops.
  • Valuta commissions (exchanges during the during the tour).
  • Passport and Visa fees. Please obtain your own visas.
  • Victoria Falls activities (apart from standard inclusions).

Your should bring:

  • Informal summer/ winter wear to be used during the tour
  • Swimwear in summer.
  • 2 sets of smart casual clothing for evening meals.
  • One jacket/jersey for cooler evenings (20C - 28C during the day, 15C - 12C in evenings).
  • Spending money (Credit Card, $US, RSA Rand).
  • Travel documents and preferably, travel and medical insurance.
  • I suggest you take malaria precautions, see your doctor for malaria medication (as a matter of surety). No real threat but better safe than sorry.
  • At least 1 pair of binoculars per couple, sunglasses, hat, walking shorts and shoes, camera equipment.

Please travel light:

  • ONLY 1 medium size soft bag for main luggage and 1 small shoulder sling bag for immediate necessities as we will travel in the our planes the most of the time.

Payment:

  • A 50% deposit (in US$) is required 3 months prior to your departure.
  • Please notify us once your deposit has been made.
  • Deposits are refundable only if we are notified well in advance, with valid reasons, and if our beneficiaries are willing to refund us. The minimum penalty is 10%. The maximum penalty of 100% will apply if you cancel your safari less than 3 weeks prior to your departure.
  • The balance of 50% is payable on call, or on arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, prior to the start of your safari.
  • You will not have to spend any additional money, except for private items.
  • For your convenience, we will accept payment in any recognised currency. Prices are quoted in US$ for consistency. The exchange rate at the time of payment will apply. The price is fixed at the time of publication or quotation.
