Safaris in Botswana
Botswana has been one of the stable democracies of the sub continent realising the potential of tourism. Therefore investors did an excellent job in catering for tours and safaris.
- North eastern area: Chobe National Park. The Chobe river joins the Zambezi where four countries meet and the best game and bird viewing can be found by land or river, with excellent lodging available.
- Northern and central areas: Okavango Swamps. This remote swamp area around the mighty Okavango River, which does not flow into the sea, but ends in the swamps. Excellent exotic bush lodges on islands reachable by planes only for the best African experience. Of course, this is in a different price bracket.
- Moremi Wildlife Reserve: Reachable by mostly by plane & 4x4 only. This is more for rugged safaris combined to other regions.
- Central Makgadi-gadi Pans: These vast salt pans with game and African scenes will thrill your wildest dreams!
- Tuli block in the south east: Excellent lodging in a private reserve with different landscapes and game viewing on a history rich trail.
